Gesilayefa Azorbo is a Toronto-based creative hyphenate (writer, photographer, filmmaker and film festival multitasker) with an abiding love of music, film, TV and literature. She was born in Nigeria, grew up in Kenya, currently lives in Canada, and considers herself a Third Culture Kid.

Her creative work explores themes related to creativity and identity. As a photographer she loves to shoot creative portraits, as well as performers in their element. As a filmmaker her work explores themes related to creativity and identity. As a writer, her work includes creative fiction writing and poetry, as well as arts and culture reporting for numerous media outlets over the years. In 2017 she wrote a poem a day for one year, and is currently in the process of compiling these into a collection reviewing a year in poetry.
